If you're using Shopify vendor tags to organise your products, you're only using a fraction of their potential. Vendor Enhance transforms basic vendor text into rich brand profiles that automatically display across your storefront.
In this step-by-step guide, we’ll show you exactly how to install Vendor Enhance, set up vendor profiles, customise the display, and control how vendor information appears on your product pages.
What Problem Does Vendor Enhance Solve?
By default, Shopify vendor tags are simple text fields. They don’t include logos, descriptions, certifications, or brand details.
That means your suppliers, manufacturers, or producers appear as plain text on your store - with no storytelling, no trust signals, and no visual branding.
Vendor Enhance transforms those basic tags into professional brand profiles that:
- Display logos and descriptions
- Link to vendor websites
- Show certifications or awards
- Automatically appear on relevant product pages
- Remain saved even if products are removed
Step 1: Access Vendor Settings
After installing Vendor Enhance, go to your Products list in Shopify admin.
Click More actions and select Vendor settings from the dropdown.
You’ll now see a list of all vendors in your store, along with their product counts. This makes it easy to see which suppliers have the most products and should be prioritised.
Edit any vendor by clicking Edit next to their name.

Step 2: Add Vendor Details
On the vendor detail page, you can transform a basic vendor tag into a full brand profile.
Update the Display Name
Change the simple vendor tag into a polished brand name that appears on your storefront.
Add a Description
Tell your supplier’s story. Share their background, values, or unique selling points.
Add a Website URL
Include a link to the vendor’s website. This automatically powers a “Find out more” button on your product pages.
Upload a Logo
Click Change to upload a logo from your Shopify files. This helps customers visually recognise the brand.
Add Region, Certifications or Custom Fields
You can include details such as:
- Region or manufacturing location
- Certifications or quality standards
- Awards or accolades
- Any other industry-specific information
All fields are customisable, so you can relabel them to suit your business.
Step 3: Add the Vendor Block to Your Theme
Once your vendor details are set up, you need to display them on your storefront.
Go to Online Store → Themes → Customise to open the theme editor.
Open any product page template.
Click Add block, select Apps, and choose Vendor Information.
Position the block wherever you want it to appear - for example:
- Below product information
- Under the Buy Now button
- Between product details and recommendations
You can drag and drop the block anywhere within your product layout.

Step 4: Customise the Appearance
Vendor Enhance gives you full control over styling inside the theme editor.
Logo Size
Adjust the logo width, including full-width display for maximum impact.
Typography
Increase or decrease the title size to match your theme’s style.
Button Settings
The call-to-action button automatically links to the vendor’s website and opens in a new tab.
You can customise the button text to suit your brand, such as:
- Learn more
- Visit vineyard
- About this manufacturer
Spacing and Borders
Adjust padding and borders so the block blends seamlessly with your theme design.
Click Save when finished.
Step 5: See It Live on Your Storefront
Visit a product from a configured vendor.
The vendor profile will automatically appear on the page. If another product shares the same vendor, the same profile will display.
If a product uses a different vendor, its unique profile will appear instead.
If a product has no vendor assigned, no block appears - keeping your layout clean.

Optional: Hide Vendor Information Per Product
You can hide vendor information on specific products.
Open the product in Shopify admin.
Scroll to Hide vendor info and set it to True.
Save the product.
When you refresh the storefront, the vendor block will no longer appear for that item.
Customise Global Vendor Settings
In Vendor settings, click the Settings tab in the top right.
Here you can:
- Change the block title, such as “About the producer” or “About the manufacturer”
- Edit the call-to-action button text
- Customise field labels to match your industry
For example:
- Region → Manufacturing location
- Certifications → Quality standards
This flexibility makes Vendor Enhance suitable for wine retailers, fashion brands, electronics stores, and more.
Why Vendor Enhance Is Different
Unlike manual theme edits or custom metafields, Vendor Enhance preserves your vendor data.
Even if you temporarily remove all products from a supplier, archive seasonal items, or pause a brand, your logos, descriptions and certifications remain safely stored.
You never lose the work you’ve put into building those brand profiles.
